Healing the Nation and the Australian Constitution.

1. This party has been established to establish recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Australia, through changing the Commonwealth Constitution of Australia. We believe by establishing changes to the Australian Constitution, the process will provide a platform to help the process of healing Australia as a nation. The healing process will be continually ongoing, it will allow Australia to take its place in the international stage as a country that recognises its past, addresses these matters through recognition and looks forward to a more inclusive society, not only for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders but also for new immigrants to our country and the marginalised peoples in our society. We are an inclusive party for all Australians, but with a primary focus on Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander persons.                                                                 

2.  This year will mark the 250th landing of Captain James Cook upon Australian soil. We have waited patiently for a Federal Government to resolve the issue of reconciliation with the First Nations people of this country. We believe unless we form a Political party and start negotiations with a Federal Government, reconciliation will never happen in this country.
